The teachers at Holy Trinity Episcopal Day School strive to make each child's preschool experience a positive one, and they welcome parental participation.  Holy Trinity Preschool (4 Year Old Program) The children are involved in specific units of study throughout the year. Incorporated into these units are art, music, literature, poetry, guest speakers and several field trips. Art encourages eye-hand coordination, which is vital at this stage of development, with such projects as cutting, gluing, coloring, painting, drawing, and writing. Our focus on number and letter readiness utilizes the "Letter People" phonics readiness as a guide. Holy Trinity Kindergarten (5 Year Old Program) In the Kindergarten program, the children are involved in science and social studies units throughout the year. Music, movement, art, literature, guest speakers, and field trips are also incorporated into these units. Our reading readiness program is based on Lippincott's Beginning to Read, Write, and Listen series, which is a phonetically based program. Our mathematics program consists of hands-on math. Holy Trinity Day School offers half-day Preschool and Kindergarten programs in
a Christian atmosphere. The children attend a weekly chapel service, which includes Bible lessons, music and prayers.
