Holy Trinity will return to THREE Sunday Services at 8, 9 & 11 a.m on Sunday, August 17. Children’s and Adult Sunday School will be during the 10 a.m. hour.

The Episcopal Church Women Outreach Committee is providing and filling backpacks with supplies for 3 and 4 year olds at Auburn Day Care (ADC). ADC is a nonprofit daycare facility for working mothers in the Boykin area. Please help us by contributing supplies requested by the ADC Director, including books, puzzles, large crayons, paper, etc. We have created an online method of signing up for donations to make it easier for those who wish to help. Invitations to sign up have been sent to everyone on the Holy Trinity email list. If you did not receive your invitation, please contact Shelley Lackey (plc@holytrinitychurch.info), and be sure your address is properly included. You can find the list of needed supplies by going to: http://www.SignUpGenius.com/go/60B044AABAA2AA20-jampack. If you do not have access to a computer, contact Josie Walsh at 334-826-9713 or Debra Armstrong-Wright at 334-740-2296. Please place supplies in the basket on the Monks’ table by Friday, August 8, 2014. There will be a blessing of the backpacks on Sunday, August 10, 2014.

You are invited to an ECW sponsored retreat at Holy Trinity on Saturday, August 9 from 8:30 - noon: EXPRESSIONS OF PRAYER THROUGH WORDS, MUSIC, ART & MOVEMENT. Workshop leaders will be the Rev. Jonathan Chesney, who is our new assistant rector, Dave Han, Tana Branch, and Mary Ann Hanson. It is free of charge and open to all interested adults and teenagers. Pre-registration would be appreciated by contacting Ann Bruce Porter at annbruceporter@gmail.com or 826-5284.

Are you looking to make some money and help out the ECW all at the same time? If so, please join us for a yard sale scheduled for Saturday, August 23 beginning at 6 a.m. in the Holy Trinity parking lot. The in-reach committee of the ECW is renting 8 x 10 spaces for $20 each and tables for $5 each. Renters will sell their own items and keep the sales generated from renting the space from the ECW. Applications are available on the Monks‘ table. They need to be submitted no later than August 1. If you have any questions or need more details, please contact Liz Greathouse at 334-707-1087 or Violet Lett at 337-787-0205. Please know that spaces and tables are open to anyone - they are not exclusive to Holy Trinity parishioners.

Children’s and Adult Sunday School “Meet the Teacher” will be Sunday, August 17 during the 10 a.m. Sunday School hour. Children will enjoy a light breakfast in their classrooms while they meet their Sunday School teachers for the 2014-2015 year. Adults will meet in the parish hall to hear a review of what adult classes will be offered. We will also enjoy light breakfast food, coffee and juice. Everyone is encouraged to attend!
