ADVENT WREATH MAKING AND LEFTOVER TURKEY POTLUCK DINNER:
All parishioners and their families are invited to the parish hall on Sunday, November 30 at 5 p.m for the Advent Wreath making and leftover turkey potluck dinner! Each family will make one wreath to set out on your table during the Advent season. The Flower Guild will assist with this event, but if you have greenery in your yard (or neighbor’s yard!), please bring a bag to share. We need fir, pine, cedar, cypress, magnolia and boxwood greenery. We also need euonymus, holly, nandina, rosemary, pittosporum, elaeagnus, privet, and ligustrum for accent greenery. Remember to bring a dish to share as well! Hope to see you there!

HOLIDAY GIFT MARKET:
All parishioners are invited to join us in the Parish Hall on Sunday, December 7 during the 10 a.m. Sunday School hour for the Holiday Gift Market. During this market time, you will be able to purchase meaningful gifts without the stress or the crowds of the holidays. These gifts will help give life to those in need and will benefit groups including but not limited to: East Alabama Food Bank, Episcopal Relief and Development, Haiti, Sawyerville, and our Adopt-a-family. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. Please join us and give meaning to your Christmas giving.

LESSONS AND CAROLS:
On Sunday, December 7 at 5:00 p.m., you are invited to join us as Holy Trinity Episcopal Church will present its annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, featuring the Holy Trinity Choir, Holy Trinity Children’s Choir, and Patrick McCurry, saxophonist. Musical selections by Handel, Mendelssohn, Federlein, Poston, and Canfield, in addition to congregational hymn singing. A free will offering will be taken. Join us afterwards for hot cider and cookies in the Parish Hall.

HOLY TRINITY CHRISTMAS PAGEANT:
The Holy Trinity Christmas Pageant will be Wednesday, December 24th during the 3:30 Christmas Eve service. All children ages 4 through 5th grade are encouraged to participate. Fifth graders play the major parts, but there are plenty of parts for everyone as angels, shepherds, sheep, and other animals. If your child would like to participate, please contact Emily von Gal at emily@holytrinitychurch.info. Pageant practice will be Sunday, December 21 at 10 a.m.

FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY: SERVING EACH OTHER
Thanks to the generosity of parishioners, we enjoy snacks and nibbles during the Sunday morning coffee hour between the 9 & 11 a.m. services. About 35 parishioners have offered to participate by signing up to provide simple snacks on Sunday mornings. If everyone in the parish signed up for one Sunday, we would be on a four year rotation! If you would like further details or to add your name to the list, please go to  www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0C45A8AA22A75-coffee or email fellowship@holytrinitychurch.info. Please consider this very important opportunity to serve your fellow parishioners.

NAME TAGS:
The fifth order of name tags is being processed. With this order’s arrival, it will bring the grand total of name tags added to the board to 502!! Thanks to all for sharing your names. These name tags are your to keep, and if you move out of the area, please take your name tag with you to share with your next Episcopal community. If you have misplaced your name tag and would like a replacement, please email nametags@holytrinitychurch.info to request a new one. The replacement tags cost $10.00. Please include “replacement name tag” on your check memo line and place it in the bookkeeper’s box or in the office. Thank you!

RECTOR’S BIBLE STUDY:
Please join us every Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. in the Parish Hall for a weekly Bible study on the Gospel of Matthew. No previous knowledge is required; this will be a relaxed kind of Bible study open to everyone. Hope to see you there!

COLLEGE STUDY GROUP
Our college Bible Study meets on Mondays with a great time and a great dinner. ALL college students are welcome and invited to join us for a time of exploring, questioning, and learning about Scripture, theology, and our faith experience each Monday from 6 - 7 pm in the Parish Hall. Join us for a free, home-cooked meal and a discussion on a topic yet to be chosen; we’ll be asking for your input and interests and go from there! For more information or to ask questions or share thoughts, please contact Jonathan Chesney at jonathan@holytrinitychurch.info or call the church office at 887-9506.

CALLING ALL COOKS:
Once again we need volunteers who are willing to provide a meal for our hungry college students on Mondays at 6 pm during the school year. The next available date is Monday, January 26. The home-cooked meals you provide make a huge impact on the students and are a big reason for the success of our ministry with them. You may cook on your own or collaborate with a friend. We’ll take care of the drinks and the cleanup, all you need to do is provide the meal. The link to the sign-up genius for possible dates is www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0C48A4AC2BA64-hot, or you may contact Jonathan at jonathan@holytrinitychurch.info if you do not have access to a computer. Thanks for considering helping with this critical ministry!
